7th day of June 2025 recorded solid overwhelming preparation towards 2027 general elections. The ceremony which saw the gathering of who and who in Ughelli North, South and Udu Federal Constituency at Ughelli Town hall – Oteri saw Achero Akpobome declare his intention to run for the Ughelli North and South, and Udu Federal Constituency, House of Representatives (Green chamber in Abuja). All this happened under the distinguish Chairmanship of Comrade Emmanuel Okorodudu, the Delta Central Senatorial District Chairman of the Labour Party.
Labour Party which is known for its discipline, revealed in Comrade Emmanuel Okorodudu, Delta Central Senatorial District Chairman, the State Chairman, Mr. Vincent and South South Chairman, Chief Tony Ezeagu. The incoming Senator Delta Central Senatorial District come 2027, Evang. Dr Austin Ofomana in his politically sagastic influence, spoke with Labour Party members of the state of preparedness for the Senatorial battle ahead.
The Senator- in- waiting who was accompanied by his Executive Assistant, Mr Praise Omoemu, was finally assured of the party’s preparations and support just as he is convinced of the support of Delta Central Senatorial District across Party lines. The three local government area Chairmen, Delta Central personalities, incoming Senator’s LGA Chairman, Mr. Adu Okiemute, Ethiope East present, were cared for. Also present is the State Youth Leader, Obake Stephen.
The story will not be complete without the mention of Prince Akegor Mamus, the candidate of Labour Party in 2023 keenly contested elections. He (Mamus) lost on grounds that are not convincing but is left for posterity to judge. The incoming Senator, Delta Central Senatorial District come 2027, Evang. Dr Ofomana led the meeting and the declaration of Akpobome Achero for the Ughelli North and South, Udu Federal Constituency just as he led the declaration to a close by the word of God.
