In order for Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, a private pipeline surveillance company operated by High Chief (Dr.) Government Ekpemupolo, a.k.a Tompolo to continue in its good job of protecting the waterways against oil theft, it has again been honoured by Vanguard Media Limited titled: Vanguard’s Crude Oil Infrastructure Security Award 2023.
The Chairman, Editorial Board Vanguard Newspapers, Ocherome Nnana was in company of Regional Editor,South-South, Emma Amaize and the Assistant Online Editor,Jeremiah Urowayino, to present the letter of the award to the Chairman of TSSNL, Ekpemupolo, at Oporoza, Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State . In his address, the Chairman, Editorial Board Vanguard Newspapers, Ocherome Nnana told the Chairman, Tantita Security Services that Board of Editors of Vanguard Media Limited deemed it necessarily to honoured Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited with Vanguard’s Crude Oil Infrastructure Security Award, for protecting critical national infrastructure and aiding economic recovery. According to Nnana, they have seen that Tantita has distinguished itself as a committed security firm, leaving a legacy of hard work and patriotism.
According to Nnana,Tantita has demonstrated excellence by providing innovative security measures that have led to significant reduction in oil theft and sabotage of oil and gas assets adding that, the cutting-edge measures it has implemented has ensured better monitoring and control of activities around oil and gas facilities which has led to an increase in the nation’s oil production output between 2022 and now.
He said, these laudable exploits have paved way for the increase of production from an all-time low of 900 barrels a day to 1.5 million barrels, impacting positively on the nation’s crude oil earnings adding, apart from creating a safe environment for crude oil production and export, it has also created employment for the youths of the Niger Delta, thereby addressing one of the major triggers of youth restiveness in the region.

He said the remarkable success Tantita has recorded in the last two years has not only revived the economy, but impacted positively on the economic well-being of Nigerians saying that has reaffirmed the capacity of indigenous companies at delivering sensitive jobs in the oil industry, thereby aiding the realization of the nation’s local content objectives. According to Nnana, the nation may not be there yet in terms of total eradication of oil theft, but Tantita’s commitment and professionalism in no distant time, show that it is achievable adding that, the history of ongoing efforts at revamping the economy will not be complete without the mention of Tantita’s contributions. He said these and many more earned the organization this prestigious award saying the philosophy of this award was to recognise and celebrate Excellence, National Pride and Service to Humanity.
On his part, Tompolo commended Vanguard for the honour and continued support for him and his team.
