Okorikpere Community – Ugolo District in Okpe Local Government Area has placed an indefinite suspension on Chief Mathias Itigha – An Executive Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Chief Ogheneovo Itigha and Mr. Anthony Ewvaraye .
In a statement signed by the duo of Chief Solomon Onojighofia – the Acting Okpako – Amua of Okorikpere Community and Pastor Fred Akoko – Elders’s Secretary which was made available to newsmen said, the trio were given indefinite suspension for their failure to honour the invitation of HRM retired Major – General Felix Mujakperuo, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom. The Elders Council, in the statement, said, the trio failed to honour the invitation of the highly respected Okpe Monarch on two occasions: first, being February 20, 2026 while the second, was on March 3, 2026.
The statement added that, the main reason of the invitation by the Okpe Monarch is to discuss how to move the community forward. Meanwhile as at the time of filing this report, the trio are yet to honour the invitation.
