Delta South Senatorial District candidate on the platform of New Nigeria People’s Party(NNPP),Commodore Omatseye Nesiama (Rtd) a.k.a,” The Commodore of Hope” has condoled with Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the Deputy Senate President and Governorship candidate on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) for 2023 general elections and the victims’ families over tragic boat mishap which led to the death of two persons on the spot, three persons declared missing while seven others seriously injured and hospitalized.
In a press statement signed by Comarade Meluwa Kelvin, Media Director, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama’s Campaign Organizations on Thursday said, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama ( Rtd) received the information of the boat mishap with rude shock and condoled with families of the victims.
He said:” Information at our disposal is that, a commercial boat traveling in the opposite direction rammed into the boat carrying the victims who were returning from a political rally held in Okerenkoko, Warri South West Local Government Area on the 20th December, 2022. I use this medium to express our condolences to the APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege over the death of his supporters who lost their lives in the boat mishap”.
Commodore Nesiama(Rtd) therefore prayed for quick recovery of those who injured and the repose of the deceased. He said:”I pray for the quick recovery of the injured persons and repose of the deceased”. According to the statement, he(Nesiama) prayed that such unfortunate incident does not occur again and wished all political parties hitch-free campaign tours towards 2023 general elections.
