Following the victory of the Presidential Candidate, Senator Almed Bola Tinubu on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) of the just concluded Presidential election of 25th February, 2023, a Chieftain of All Progressive Congress(APC) ,Dr. Otive Igbuzor(PhD) has congratulated the President- Elect over his victory just as he commended the efforts of all APC members and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the conduct of the elections.
Dr. Igbuzor Otive who is the Chief of Staff to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege stated this while addressing newsmen at his residence in Emonu-Orogun, in Ughelli North LGA, Delta State recently. He said the victory of Senator Bola Tinubu is not only his but for democracy and all Nigerians. The Chief of Staff urged the incoming government to focus on improving security, creation of jobs among others that would improve on the general standard of living of the people.
According to him, the incoming government should tackle the issues of impunity, examination malpractices, maintenance of law and order, ethics, values, justice and equity, improvement of Nigerians’ health care facilities, employment and others.
The APC Chieftain, said, although, the government cannot create jobs for everybody, but can create an environment of peace and harmony whereby people can go about their normal businesses.
He therefore commended the President- Elect, Senator Ahmed Tinubu for his tenacity and resilience which gave room for his victory at the polls against all odds( difficulties) just as he(Igbuzor) hoped that he(Tinubu) will use the same vigour to handle the challenges facing the nation.
He said: “The incoming government should also put machinery in motion to manage diversity in balancing of appointments, peace and conflict resolutions and of course, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), with the sole responsibilities to promoting national unity and co-existence”
Dr. Igbuzor also used this medium to call on the people of Delta State to come out in en-masse to vote for Senator Ovie Omo-Agege as Governor of Delta State come March 11, 2023 and other APC candidates for them to have dividends of democracy they have been yearning for over the years.
