An Effurun- based Legal Practitioner, E. Akporehe – John (Mrs) from Eagles Law Office, Effurun, in Uvwie Local Government Area Delta State, has lodged her complaint with Area Commander, Nigeria Police Force, Effurun Area Command, Ekpan in Uvwie L.G.A Delta State, over serious attack on Mr. Kabi Ogolor, Hon. Martins Akporehe, Mediyite Akporehe Okiroro (Mrs), Cletus Agadi, Victor Osiyebo and Solomon Akporehe by a terrorist gang made up of Kelvin Egere, Ejiro Komofi, Sou Ogbobiri and others who were led by one Mr. Randy Omovie.
In a letter titled: “Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery, Attempted Rape, Assault Occasioning Harm And Acts Of Terrorism” dated 18th March, 2026 and addressed to the Area Commander, Nigeria Police Force, Effurun Area Command, Ekpan, in Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, a copy of which was made available to newsmen, said, on the 16th March, 2026 at about 4:15 pm, the terrorist gang made up of Kelvin Egere, Ejiro Komofi, Sou Ogbobiri, Stanley Ibe, Lucky Abugu, Gaga Aghevwere, Larry Eriefeveme, Abraka, Jeffery Pepely and others, who were led by one Mr Randy Omovie stormed the site of the modern Ugborikoko Market by Ugborikoko Primary School along Airport Road, Ugborikoko in Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State which is under construction which Mr. Kabi Ogolor was supervising, they brutally pounced on him with dangerous weapons such as battle axes, machetes, and cudgels and he narrowly escaped death but with bodily severe injuries which landed him in the hospital.

Part of the letter reads:” …Randy Omovie stormed the site of the modern Ugborikoko Market…which is undergoing construction where Mr. Kabi Ogolor was supervising the ongoing market project and brutally pounced on him with battle axes, machetes and cudgels in attempt to kill him thereby inflicting on him grievous bodily harm…. He thereafter admitted to the hospital and treated for the injuries sustained.”
According to the letter, in the course of Ogolor’s attack, his gold necklace valued at N6, 800,000.00 and the sum of N320, 000.00 were forcefully taken from him just as his shirt valued at N120, 000.00 was torn adding, and this complaint was earlier lodged in Ugborikoko Police Station.
The letter further said ,as if the attack on Mr. Ogolor was not enough, the same terrorist gang led by Randy Omovie, on the 18th March, 2026 at about 8:50 am, attacked and hijacked in a Toyota Sienna Vehicle and Keke NAPEP, Messrs. Hon. Martins Akporehe, Mediyite Akporehe-Okiroro(Mrs), Cletus Agadi , Victor Osiyebo and Solomon Akporehe and they(gang) took them(victims) to their hideout within Ugborikoko where they(gang) bound their(victims ) hands and legs and tied to a stake.
Part of the letter reads:” Buoyed by the euphoria of their successful criminal and terrorists acts against Mr Ogolor, the same terrorist gang made up of the named Mediyite Akporehe-Okiroro(Mrs) was beaten, injured in her mouth and her underwear torn in an attempt to rape her. Cletus Agadi was seriously injured in his eyes, head and other parts of his body. Victor Osiyebo sustained deep machete cuts on his neck and both hands. Solomon Akporehe was seriously beaten and left with severe pains…”persons above, who were heavily armed and led by Randy Omovie, again, stormed the modern Ugborikoko Market on March 18, 2026 at about 8:50 am and mortally attacked and hijacked in Toyota Sienna…Messers Hon. Martins Akporehe…”

According to the letter, during the process, Hon. Martins was thoroughly beaten with cutlass, cudgels and hit his head and chest with locally made gun and he sustained injuries in different parts of the body including neck, eyes, chest, ears and in the process, his Tecno phone handset valued at N35,000.00 was forcefully taken from him, and his sim removed and broken to pieces.
The letter further said:”Mediyite Akporehe-Okiroro(Mrs) was beaten, injured in her mouth and her underwear torn in an attempt to rape her. Cletus Agadi was seriously injured in his eyes, head and other parts of his body. Victor Osiyebo sustained deep machete cuts on his neck and both hands. Solomon Akporehe was seriously beaten and left with severe pains…”
According to the letter, the gang has vowed to further unleash violence on the law abiding citizens of Ugborikoko just as they boasted that, nothing would deter them from their continuous attacks. The legal practitioner therefore called on the Area Commander, Nigeria Police Force, Effurun Area Command, to wade into the matter by investigating it (matter) to ensure the culprits are brought to book and prosecuted according to the law for their dastardly acts.
Part of the letter reads:” The brazen acts of this criminal gang are blatant infraction of the criminal code, the Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act 2022. In the circumstance, we urge you to use your good office to ensure a thorough investigation of the matter to ensure that the culprits are prosecuted according to the law.”
