A popular business man, Mr. John Wiliki popularly known as Jowil has raised an alarm over threat to his life and family. The business man raised this alarm recently while speaking to this Reporter at Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State..
According to him, his life and that of his family are under serious danger after escaping from Kidnappers’ Den, the same day he was kidnapped which was March 29,2023 where his block Industry and lockup Stores were located.
He said:” Right now, these properties located at Okukperhe in Okpe Local Government Area along Effurun/ Patani Road are being vandalized and looted by hoodlums.” He added, that over 13 lock -up Stores in the place are among the properties being vandalized, stressing that, the Occupants of the Stores were asked not to open the stores for no reason thereby disregarding the enrollment Order from the Orerokpe High Court dated May 3, 2016 asking the Plaintiffs not to temper with the properties .
He said, the Court however asked the Defendant, Mr. John Wiliki to continue with his block Industry business and other businesses in the place and also extended same to his tenants occupying over 13 locked -up Stores in the place until the determination of the case. He said: ” I believe that their intention is to grab the place which is against the Court order of May 3, 2022”.
He said, after he managed to escaped from the Kidnappers’ Den , he wrote a petition to the Inspector General of Police on April 3, 2023 over threat to life by one Chief Mathias Itigha.
Mr. Wiliki alleged that Chief Mathias Itigha is the Person sponsoring the likes of Ochuko Jacob, Tiveh Oteri aka Akin and Itavwe Oteri in carrying out this looting, destruction and vandalization of the place, adding that, these Persons have been declared wanted by the Police. Mr. Wiliki therefore appealed to the State and Federal Government through Law Enforcement Agencies to come to his rescue as he can no longer come out to do his legitimate business for fear of being attacked
