The Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka, Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba has provided free medical treatment to residents of Oruarivie-Abraka and Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdoms.
Speaking at the flagging off ceremony of the One-Day Free Medical Outreach organised by the university in conjunction with National Association of Doctors of University Health Services (NADUHS, DELSU) and Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN, DELSUTH), at Oruarivie-Abraka Town Hall on Wednesday, Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Professor Hilary Owamah appreciated residents of Abraka kingdom for their peaceful disposition and appealed to them to continue upholding the peace and cooperation that his administration has enjoyed from the community

In a press statement signed by Dr Ese Umukoro Deputy Director, Ceremonial, information, Public Relations, Delta State University Abraka, said,Professor Samuel Asagba also enjoined participants at the free medical outreach to provide honest information to the medical professionals during consultation so that they can get the right treatment. Professor Samuel Asagba concluded by assuring the people that his administration will do more for them as the university’s host communities.
The Vice Chancellor later went to Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom to flag off the free medical outreach programme. The Free Medical Outreach is part of the University’s community service to its hosts.
