Former Chairman, Udu Local Government Area, Delta State, Hon. Raymond Edijala said, if not for intercession of the churches through prayers in affairs of Nigeria especially in the areas of armed-robbery, kidnapping, banditry, among others, the country would have been worst than this. Hon. Edijala stated this when speaking with Journalists at World Of Life Bible Church, International Gospel Centre, Ajamimogha Warri in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State as the General Overseer, Papa Ayo Oritsejafor marked his fifty years in the Ministry. He said, the rate of armed robbery, kidnapping, killing and others is high though, it would have been worst than what Nigerians are experiencing now if there were no churches in Nigeria. He said:”I can categorically tell you, if there were no churches in Nigeria that intercede through prayers, the rate of kidnapping and other social vices would have been worst than this”
The former Udu Council Boss said, the fifty years of Papa Ayo Oritsejafor in the Ministry is not a mean thing as the ministry has passed through some turbulent time before it got the stage it is now. He however said, in all things, he gives glory to God Almighty. He said:” It is fifty years of turbulent time and of rejoicing- all to the glory of God”. On the growth of the church over the years under review, he said, it is God that gives growth adding that the church is doing exceedingly well as it has branches nearly everywhere in the country.
He said:” I can tell you that it is God that gives growth, we give thanks to Him, we have a branch in Port-Harcourt, Lagos and others”. On his good will message to the Papa Ayo Oritsejafor ,he said, he wished him good health, wisdom to pilot the affairs of the church and above all, he wished him long life and prosperity. Hon. Edijala said, he is an ambassador of the ministry and son of Papa Ayo, adding, anywhere he goes; he preaches the message of the church. He said:” I always tell people that Papa Ayo is my father and I pray God should give me money to contribute my quota by way of doing what befits me for the church”.
