Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the management, staff and students of the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, Delta State, have offered special prayers for peaceful, credible and orderly elections across Nigeria.
The prayers formed part of the university’s monthly intercessory prayer programme, held on Monday, November 2, 2026, at the Owa-Oyibu Campus, with the theme, “The Power of Orderliness.” According to a press statement issued by the Senior Correspondent of UNIDEL Newsline, Precious Armstrong, the prayer session was led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Eric Eboh, and attracted members of the university’s management, staff and students.

He urged members of the university community to uphold orderliness in their personal lives, workplaces, academic pursuits and interactions with others, stressing that a disciplined society is essential for sustainable development.During the intercessory session, prayers were offered for God’s guidance in the governance of Nigeria and Delta State, as well as for the continued progress of the University of Delta. The congregation also prayed for the peaceful, free and successful conduct of the 2027 general elections.
