High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo said Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi had the intention of developing Delta State in particular and Nigeria in general before the cold arms of death snatched him away. High Chief Dr Ekpomupolo Alias Tompolo stated this through his aide, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, who paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased at Oginibu, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State.
According to High Chief Dr. Ekpemupolo, he received the news of the death of the former Minister of State for Education and former Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in the 2023 general elections in Delta State with shock, adding that, the death of the business mogul was sudden and untimely, as he had his good intentions in developing Delta State in particular and Nigeria in general.
High Chief Dr Ekpomupolo said, Gbagi was a strict and disciplinarian but was misunderstood by a section of the society adding that he came, saw, and left quietly as it was God who gave and it was same God that allowed him to go and rest at this time saying, all would miss him.
His words:”He was a strict and disciplinarian but was misunderstood by a section of the society. He came, saw, and left quietly. Indeed, God gave and it was God that allowed him to go and rest at this time. We will surely miss him”.
Tompolo therefore told the family members to take solace in the fact that, their father, brother and grandfather was able to do his best for God and mankind before he passed on. In his response, one of Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi’s sons, Egba Gbagi on behalf of the family members, expressed gratitude to Tompolo for creating time from his busy schedule to visit the family in their trying time. The family promised to get in touch with (Tompolo) when the date of the burial ceremony has been fixed.
