Aladja People’s Parliament and the entire Aladja will not forget in a hurry the Federal Lawmaker and House of Representatives member representing the people of Udu/Ughelli North and Ughelli South, RT. Hon.Francis Ejiroghene Waive.
Why? The people have been deprived, among other things, of principal’s and Vice Principal’s quarters, befitting classes, befitting bore holes and others in Aladja Grammar School in Aladja Community in Udu Local Government Area,Delta State.

But Rt. Hon.Francis Waive considered it worthwhile to wipe the tears of the people hence he embarked on the construction of perimetre fence, renovation of Principal and Vice Principal’s quarters, renovation of four blocks of classrooms, building of toilet facilities and sinking of a solar borehole in Aladja Grammar School, Aladja for the people to hive a sigh of relief.
Besides, Rt Hon. Waive’s hands in the above projects, he built two blocks of classrooms for Evwrirhe Primary School, Aladja and through his efforts, the Federal Medical Centre in Ovwian, a neighbouring Community was brought to Aladja.

The beneficiaries couldn’t contrail the joy but voiced out their appreciation. Those who spoke on behalf of Aladja People’s Parliament to appreciate the good deeds of Rt. Hon. Waive include: Hon. Bezi Ejovwo Ighotegwolor, Engr.(Chief) Paulson Okobiebi, Chief.C.C.I, Wiliki and Barr.Ben Taghogho Efeurhobo. They said, the Federal Lawmaker began the construction work in the school December 2024, and therefore appreciated him to have kept to his promise for his alma mater.

They used the opportunity to appeal to the Delta State Governor, RT.Hon.Sheriff Oborevwori who is also an Old Boy of Aladja Grammar School to make the school a model one, being the first secondary school in Udu Local Government Area by building hostel facilities in the institution. Aladja People’s Parliament did not forget in a hurry the school’s Management team led by the Principal,Mrs. Doris Otega Okurume and the teachers for doing their best to maintain the facilities in the school.

The group noted that since the return of democratic administration to Nigeria in 1999, no member of the House of Representatives has embarked in developmental projects compared to what Hon. Waive has done.
They said:” So, we are calling on him( Rt. Hon. Waive) to keep the flag flying and we also called on the constituents of the three local governments of Udu/Ughelli North and Ughelli South to re-elect him in 2027 for more dividends of Democracy to come to the grassroots”.
