The duo of Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu and Olorogun Akpokona Omafuaire Esq. have promised to always contribute their quota towards the growth and development of not only Idjerhe Kingdom in Ethiope West Local Government, Delta State but the state and the country at large. The duo stated this on Saturday after the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom, HRM Monday Whiskey conferred Chieftaincy titles on them as part of activities marking the 3rd coronation anniversary of the King
Specifically speaking, Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu whose title is Omamode of Idjerhe Kingdom said he was happy to receive the honour saying, it did not come to him as a surprise because he merited it. According to him, he has always been honoured based on the dent of hard work and good will which he commands in the society. He said, it is good to be good as whatever one does in life good or bad, after he has left this world, one would be remembered for it .He said he has got other six titles before now including his honorary Doctorate Degree saying ,he is most grateful to God for these achievements. He said when he was growing up, God has so made it that he would be getting good things in life.
He said:” I have never used money for tittles but earn them with the dent of my hardwork and reputation in the society.” He therefore advised other Chiefs and non -Chiefs alike to always stay away from evil and promote good will towards the growth and development of humanity as whatever one does in life that is what he would be remembered for. He expressed gratitude of the King of Idjerhe Kingdom to have honoured him just he promised to continue to do his best towards the growth and development of the Kingdom in particular, the state and the country in general.
On his part, Olorogun Akpokona Omafuaire Esq. who bagged the title of Osiebe of Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom thanked the King for honouring him with the title. According to him, he would continue to contribute his quota towards the growth and development of the kingdom.
He said:” I am elated for the title given me today and I will continue to do my best towards the growth and development of the kingdom, in one hand and the state and country in general.”
Olorogun Omafuaire charged others given Chieftaincy titles for the day to uphold the tenets of the title by doing what is right always.
