Delta State Governorship candidate under the platform of All Progressive Congress and Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo Agege has empowered men and women alike in Delta Central Senatorial District with assembled 73 tricycles, assembled 252 motorcycles, unassembled 142 motorcycles, BCDA marked motorcycles- 82 and 222 grinding machines making a total of 771 items.
The items which were said to have been distributed to beneficiaries recently at Orogun in Ughelli North Local Government Areas of the state were said to have been supervised by Independent Corrupt Practices Commission as its constitutional mandate.
It was gathered that, the items had been restrained and bonded in the aftermath of ICPC’s last Constituency and Executive Projects Tracking exercise for non-distribution to beneficiaries as at due time. It was learnt that empowerment items will be shared across Delta Central Senatorial District.
It was learnt that a total of twenty-two(22) motorcycles and two (2) tricycles (Keke Napep) were given to beneficiaries from Okpe Local Government Council, and same to beneficiaries from Ethiope East Local Government Council making a total of four-four (44) motorcycles and four(4) tricycles (Keke Napep).
In their response over the gesture by Senator Omo agege, Aboribo Ejiro Emily, one of the beneficiaries of the motorcycles from Jeddo in Okpe Local Government expressed happiness over the gift as the motorcycle will help her in farming business. Joseph Ituge from Ovu community in Ethiope East Local Government Area who also got the gift, said, he was very for it as it would be of great help to him.
Okeh Man-United from Adaje Community in Okpe Local Government who got tricycle, expressed gratitude to Agege for the gift just as he prayed for Deputy Senate President’s for prosperity and progress in his endeavours.
He said:”l lack words to express how I feel right, indeed, I am very grateful and God will continue to bless DSP Ovie Omo-Agege for us”.
Others who also the gift items include: Uyovwiare Bright from Egbo-Kokori, Deacon Lucky Uwanogho from Igu Community both in Ethiope East Local Government Area and Headman Adagbas from Okwetolor Community in Okpe Local Government. They all thanked Sen. Omo-Agege saying, he has impacted their lives positively just as they prayed God to always bless him in abundance as he has to come to redeem Central Senatorial District from the shackle of poverty.
