The wife of the Olu of Warri, the queen consort to Warri kingdom, Her Majesty Olori Atuwatse III has again, organized entrepreneurship skills and leadership training programmes called “Established Her Enterprise” for women in Warri, Delta State.
The programme which took place at the palace on Thursday was through one of Her Majesty’s initiatives known as Women Allying Women and Royal Iwere Foundation. Addressing the young ladies, Her Royal Majesty Olori Atuwatse III said, the importance of women in nation building can not be undermined hence they must equip themselves with leadership and entrepreneurship skills if they must function well in this world where ideas rule.
According to her, women are pride of Africa culture and tradition as people without identity can not be given their due regards in the society. She said, Elevate Africa in conjunction with Royal Iwere Foundation is founded on the premises of equipping the youths especially young ladies on skills to enable them take their rightful place and contribute their quota to their various communities in particular, the state and the country at large.
She said, the women that are part of Elevate Africa Fellowship that are drawn from different parts of the continent of Africa, would be educating them on different subjects as they are specialists in different fields of human endeavours. She urged them to take the programme seriously to enable them acquire the basic skills needed for them to forge ahead in life.

In separate interviews with many of young ladies in the training programmes, Favour Shoba said Elevate Africa and Iwere Foundation are platforms to help young ladies like herself to grow in entrepreneurship skills and ideas adding, so far, she has learnt and will inject the ideas she got into her business, which she thinks, would make her excel.
On her part, Esther Okorafor said, the ideas she has got in the programme, her business would create more impact in the society. She said:” From the programme, l have understood that, we must have access to the market before we can make impact- to get results”. Others who spoke on the benefits of the programme to them include: Sharon Amajuwa Ekurene. They all expressed gratitude to their Majesties Father for the opportunity given to them to learn in this regard.
Earlier, at the Clever-mind Educational Centre which forms part of foundation of His Royal Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III to impact positively on children, the Programme Adviser, Femi Taiwo said His Majesty and Olori , have passion for raising young people especially children for future through their foundations: Royal Iwere foundation and Elevate Africa Fellowship.
According to him, the day’s programme at the palace which saw people from different parts of the world to equip the people especially young ladies with entrepreneurship and leadership skills is a testament to the fact that the foundations have done and still doing great job for Warri Kingdom in particular, the state and the country at large.
The programme which gave room to different members of Elevate Africa Fellows to speak on different subjects climaxed with questions and answers session while two of the attendees who pitched their business got #500,000 each.
