Nigerians have been charged to have a creative mind for a worthy life. A television personality and motivational speaker, Lilian Ngozi a.k.a LEE gave this advice in a chat with Bailout Magazine immediately after a programme she organized recently titled:” A Meeting With The King(The Royal Party”) aimed at equipping the youths and adults with ideas on how to make life worth living in this dynamic world.
The programme which took place at The Deliverance Church of Christ, 13,Atie Arubi Street, Off Deco Road, Warri, Delta State saw experts drawn from different careers to discuss different topics to enlighten both youths and adults on steps to take to have a worthy life. According to her, Nigerians especially, youths should have the mind of creativity just as she charged the adults especially wives to think of how to make money in order to help their family instead of being a liability to their husband.
She said:”Nigerians, especially, youths, should have mind set of creativity. They should think of what to do as youths to generate money instead of the quest to amass wealth over night. I think, this is what is affecting the society today.“
According to her, she organized the programme for the youths and adults to be enlightened on different skills to enable them put food on their table saying, no matter little the amount of money may be, can be used to start a business to generate money and feed the family. She however said, many of the youths are not ready to learn, which makes them to engage in social vices in the society.
She said:”Youths and adults can make good amount of money from little as two or five thousand naira if such an amount is invested into business. For instance, you can go into the sales of sachet water or tomatoes to raise money and take care of your family. Just that, many youths of today are not ready to do anything to generate money; they just want to pick money to use. So, this programme is organized because, I want the youths and adults to learn and have mind set to start business on their own and live worthy life”.
According to her, the platform is there for friends, youths and the generality of the people to get enlightened adding, it is enlightenment that can change negative story of the nation. She said, it is because many people are not enlightened, things are not going on smoothly. So, the platform helps to build any kind of mentality: makes one to be creative and therefore called on the government to help sponsor the programme saying, she normally invites experts to lecture people on different topics and it serves as an avenue for people to ask questions and answers are provided to solve the challenges faced by people.
She said:”The programme is an avenue for people to bare their mind and solutions can be found to their challenges. It is enlightenment that can change negative story of the nation, it is because, many of us are not enlightened hence things are not working well”.
On why the concept of Kingship and Royalty comes to play in this direction, she said, this is how it would be relevant to the people. According to her, if people were invited to have fun, it would not make much meaning hence it was related to the King who is Lord Jesus Christ adding, this makes it more Royal. She said, it has to be tied to King of all Kings who is the Lord Jesus Christ. According to her, it is better to make it a party and royal where everybody has to appear in such a way as meeting the Lord Jesus adding, while doing this, it is an avenue for participants to have lectures on different topics to better their lives.
She said: “The programme has to be royal to enable people dress well to make it attractive. This creates interest on the participants hence they have to come like Princes or Princesses because, they are meeting with the King. This makes you sit down comfortably and listen to the lectures. If you do the programme just to have fun or if you just invite and inform people that it is targeted on how to make money, without tying it to God, people may not be interested and be serious with it. There has be to a device that would make people attend such a programme. If you want to be like the King, you have to behave as such hence, you have to dress well”.
Ngozi therefore called on the participants to put to use the knowledge got in the programme saying, she wants to see that it(programme) transform their lives. She however said, she is optimistic that the programme has impacted positively on their lives as she saw the way they were engrossed in it while it lasted.
The programme where seasoned motivational speakers among whom were Mr. Wisdom Solomon spoke on How To Create Wealth, climaxed with choreography displays, dances, among others.
