The President, Students Union Government(SUG),Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun, Delta State, Comrade Edemakiota Etiosa Oghenemaro said his administration and that of able Executive members would continue to put smiles on the faces of the students by attending to their challenges in the school. This was known in a press statement signed by Comrade Edemakiota Etiosa Oghenemaro himself on behalf of his Executive and made available to newsmen.
According to him, his administration which is ably assisted by his Executive has been able to complete Ugbomoro to Iterigbi Solar Street Light Phase 1. According to him, the struggle to actualise the project which he said, is dedicated to all campus and off campus students started under the administration of the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the Ivory Tower, Prof. Akpofure Rim-Rukeh and got to its climax at the administration of Prof. Ezekiel Agbalagba and today, to God be the glory, it has been successfully accomplished. Comrade Oghenemaro said, with the successful completion of this project, his electioneering campaign promises of ensuring that students have light (Power) both on and off campus has been fulfilled.
Part of the statement reads: “The Executive SUG President, Comr. Edemakiota Etiosa oghenemaro, alongside his Executives, has again, made a crystal clear paragon of his political manifesto fulfillment and has actively engaged the university management to complete the Ugbomoro to Iterigbi Solar Street Light Phase 1.which is dedicated to all campus and off campus students”.
“The struggle, which commenced under Prof. Rim Rukeh’s tenure, found its pinnacle in the administration of Prof. Agbalagba Ezekiel, marking a victorious accomplishment of his vision and campaign promises of eliminating darkness from the student community”. According to Comrade Oghenemaro, the light project which has been a serious concern to the body for years was accomplished through consultation with the management of the institution. Part of the statement reads:” This project was achieved through active consultations with the management and it has been a major concern for several years”.
According to him, the era of fake promises are gone as he would always keep to his campaign promises by the grace of God. Comrade Oghenemaro used the medium to expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Ezekiel Agbalagba, Director of Physical Planing, Arc. Oniovoefe Ekuerhare, and the entire management of FUPRE for making this project a huge success just as he prayed God to direct his administration in order to do more good things to better the student community.
