Garden of Life Assembly (City of No Lack) has organised her Christmas Carol amidst funfair. The programme which was held at the Church premises, 7, Saint Lane Off Ugborikoko Road, Opposite izosco Obo Marine Institute, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area over the weekend, was described as unique in its respect.
Speaking at the ceremony, the General Overseer of Garden Of Life Assembly, Archbishop Orovwuje P.E.(JP) said, Jesus Christ laid his life for humanity to be saved saying, Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. He said if by this moment, some persons are yet to acknowledge Jesus Christ to have died for them, those persons are in crisis.
He said:” In the first place, if at this time, if anyone is yet to acknowledge that Jesus Christ came to this world and died for him for him to be saved, he is crisis”.
He therefore called on those who are yet to know God through Jesus Christ to do so now before it would be too late.
According to him, the organization has achieved a lot since it was established years ago adding that, it has saved lives and it is growing in leaps and bounds to do more for humanity.
The Cleric used the occasion to call for the unity among Christians denomination adding that, there is too much division. According to him, no church denomination is superior to the other because it the same God Almighty every Christian is worshipping just as he said, nobody knows the judgement day as that would determine the righteous.
He said:” There is too disunity among us,the Christian and it is not helping us. We all know that there is judgement day and that day, we don’t the person(s) we would meet in Heaven or Hell”.
Earlier in his exaltation, Rev. Sunday Ovie said, Jesus Christ could not be given birth to in a room because there was none available neither an Inn because, it was occupied hence he was born in a Manger. According to him, Jesus Christ’s birth in this context, is a symbol of poverty and humility so that man is rich and uplifted. He charged Christians to create room for Jesus Christ in their life to show the love he has for them and to have died for them.
He said: “You need Jesus Christ in your life because he died for you and me. He is only begotten son of God who died for the sake of man. As many that receive him, he will have eternal salvation”
The Cleric who took his exaltation from Luke 2:1 and Rev.3:20 of the Holy Scriptures, charged Christians and Non- Christians to open their heart to receive Jesus Christ as the only person to launch them into prosperity.
He said:” Don’t be in doubt, open your heart and accept Jesus Christ, and he would change your story for good for ever”.
The programme which was attended by men of God among whom are: Pst. Okundaye Ernest, Rev. Ambrose Unurhoro, Rev. Solomon A.Okarie, Pst.
