The President, Urhobo Progress Union branch of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) known as DUSA, Olorogun Felix Ogboru, on behalf of the body, has commended the Executive Director of Finance of the Board and two of the three Commissioners representing Urhobo Ethnic Nationality for their quick intervention to the flood victims saying, with this, they have saved the people. Olorogun Ogboru made this commendation when speaking to newsmen recently. He said the quick response of Urhobo representatives on the Board to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) has really brought succour to the people.
He said:”We, the Urhobo Progress Union branch of DESOPADEC known as DUSA specially commend Chief John Obukowho Nani, Chief Vincent Oyibode and Okakuro Okiemute Kents for their gesture in ameliorating the sufferings of Urhobo people over the flood saga”. He said the Urhobo people should note the breed of leaders on the Board of DESOPADEC adding, they are caring as they were carefully selected by Governor Okowa. Olorogun Ogboru therefore appealed to all Deltans especially the Urhobo Ethnic Nationality to sustain the support for Governor Okowa who appointed them for him (Okowa) to finish strong just as he appealed to them to support 2023 Governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rt. Honorable Sheriff Oborevwori to succeed Governor Okowa to continue with his(Governor Okowa’s) good work.
