The Reactor, Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe Oghara in Ethiope West Local Government Area Prof. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri said the institution would continue to provide standard and quality education for students. Prof Ufuophu-Biri stated this at combined convocation ceremony of the institution which took place at the campus over the weekend. According him, the institution would maintain high academic standards to produce skillful manpower for the development of Nigeria.
Prof Ufuophu-Biri said, the institution would achieve this laudable goal as more programmes and innovations would be implemented to improve the quality of education of the graduates from the school. He said, students of the institution are always equipped in their various vocational skills- which have made them to competent favourably with their counterparts anywhere in the world. According to him, his administration has improved and would continue to improve on learning facilities (structures) of the school adding, this is made possible through the co-operation of both academic and non -academic staff and therefore seeks more their co-operation in years ahead.
While expressing joy that his three years of his administration, despite challenges, has made some remarkable progress in all areas, he commended the students for their discipline and diligence in their studies just as he urged them to continue to work hard to actualize their dreams and aspirations and become more useful citizens to themselves and the society at large. Prof. Ufuophu-Biri also expressed gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State for the assistance given to the school since his assumption of office, among others.
