A stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party in Aviara, Hon. Oreva Olodia has congratulated the newly elected and sworn in Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area Council, Hon Julius Takeme, that of Ughelli North Local Government Area Council, Hon. Jaro Egbo, Chairman for Isoko South, Hon. Warri Friday Ovoke, and his counterpart in Isoko North, Hon. Godwin Ogorugba for their successful election and subsequent swearing in.
Olodia who was speaking in an interview with newsmen in Asaba, shortly after the inauguration noted that Takeme, Egbo, Ovoke, Ogorugba and other 21 Local Government Chairmen across the State enjoyed the support of the people before and during the election, making it imperative that he should work hard to justify the confidence reposed on him.
While congratulating the Councils Chairmen, the Councilor elected to represent Irri Ward 10B, Hon Sarah Onome Francis, and the two Councilors, Hon. Ifoghale Ogbe and Hon Edafe Jacob Edigwe elected to represent Aviara Ward 3A and 3B in Isoko South Local Government Legislative Arm, commended the Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, voters and DSIEC for free, fair and credible election at the Saturday July 13 polls, calling on the others to give the elected Chairman the needed support. He stressed the need for teamwork, urging the new Chairmen to carry the Councillors along to avoid any situation that could engender acrimony and Executive and legislature face off.
Hon. Olodia commended respective Local Government Council PDP leaders and members for working hard to deliver, Takeme, Egbo, Warri, Ogorugba and all the Councillors in the election and urged them to continue to support their new administration to succeed. He therefore urged the newly sworn in Chairmen to run inclusive governance, carry out rapid development programmes in order to boost economic activities at the four LGAs and other 21 Local Government Councils as well reposition good governance at the grassroots.
