The State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress Delta State, has disassociated itself from the unauthorized reconciliation Committee report submitted by Chief Paulinus Akpeki to the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje of the party.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Delta State Deputy Chairman of APC, Chief Francis I. Obigbor and the Secretary, Surv. Peter Akarogbe, titled: “UNAUTHORISED SUBMISSION OF FALSE/FAKE REPORT BY CHIEF PAULINUS AKPEKI”, describing the report submitted by Akpeki as false and fake.
The statement, which the copies are attached below read in parts; “Our attention has been drawn to the submission of the document titled: ‘All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta State: OLOROGUN O’TEGA EMERHOR, OON led Reconciliation Committee Report by Chief Paulinus Akpeki. The said report was submitted to the National Chairman of the APC on the 8th day of December, 2024, without authority from SWC, SEC, Caucus and due regards to the process outlined in the report itself.
“We wish to bring to your notice the fact that the said report is an inchoate document as it is yet to be deliberated upon by the relevant organs of the Delta State APC as envisaged even by the content of the report.”
They stated that, the report submitted does not convey the aggregate opinions, decisions/ resolutions of the members of the APC in Delta State. They therefore urged the National Chairman of the party and the NWC not to recognize whatsoever is written in the document as it is yet to be considered by the SWC in a properly constituted meeting before its submission to SEC and Caucus for debate and final adoption at the State Party level.
