The Lead Pastor, Gateway to Heaven Ministry Inc a Messianic Judaism(Pentecostal Church in Nigeria, Ifeanyichukwu Kelvin Lawrence said since the return of Nigeria democratic system of government after multiple decades of military leadership without meaningful progress, there is need for the country to be transited to theocratic state. Pastor Lawrence stated this addressing journalists on Friday in a World Press Conference in Warri in Warri South Local Government Area of the state. According to him, despite the abundant human and material resources in the country, Nigerians still wallow in poverty which, according to him, is appalling.
Pastor Lawrence said, the stagnation of Nigeria’s and Nigerians’ growth is occasioned by Nigeria politicians and their allies who have been elected and opportune to be placed in corridor of power since the return of democracy to Nigeria but ended up toying with the hopes and aspirations of Nigerians as they did not only exploit their(Nigerians) chances of great opportunities but have entrenched the practice of bad governance to the extent that, an average Nigerian now sees his fundamental rights as a rare privilege.
His words:”.. the belief that Nigeria would berth at Ald-Dorado twenty after been signaled by God Almighty opportunity to return to elective style of government based on the great potentials in both human and material resources embedded in Nigeria – the most populous Black Nation in the world that within ten years period inherent potentials of Nigeria would have been harnessed maximally to speedily propel Nigeria into the level of greatness..”
According to him, bad governance of the elected Nigeria government officials is often seen as come in hand- in- hand with the corruption which occurs in different ways with the government and the civil service and even the private officials as they place their personal gains above that of the masses. He said investigation has shown that the high level corruption in Nigeria has made the country to be indebted to the tune of 72.3 Trillion Nigerian Naira in the last eight years which spans for a period of May 29 2015 to May 29, 2023, a situation has plunged Nigeria into worse recession.
Speaking further, based on the above, the general conclusion perception now that Nigeria is unsafe with apart from insecurity of ethnic and religious conflicts across the country, the country is heavily indebted and that the future of the country and that of the next generation is bleak hence the call for Nigeria Transition to Theocracy and its Bill of 2023 of this effect was sent to the National Assembly for the country to be transited to Theocratic State and that further delay of the passage of the bill into law of the floor of the House, shall lead Nigeria to failed state.
His words:” Further delay to pass into law the Nigeria Transition to Theocracy Bill 2023 on the floor of the Nigerian Senate shall lead to Nigeria to be abysmal situation of insolvency and of failed State with consequential effect of wide range of kidnapping for money ritual activity, advance fee fraud among others”.
According to him, with Senate’s intervention, there shall installation of a National Prophet for Nigeria- somebody chosen directly by God Almighty in accordance with section 4 subsection (c ) and section 7 subsection (a) (b) (c) and (d) of this Act; abolition of the 1999 constitution of Nigeria as amended to uphold, protect, preserve and enforce compliance with the tenets of religious law in Nigeria; change the name of Nigeria to the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Sovereign Theocratic State of Saints (STSS) otherwise known as the Saints State among others.
The Cleric said, the transition would be done in a manner that registered Priests of each tribal ancestral worship and religion including church denominations in Nigeria are subjected to participating in compulsory national prayer contest event where, each will come forward to prepare an altar individually before God Almighty and, on the altar ,lay sacred items of the tribal ancestral worship and calls on God to send down fire from clouds on the altar to consume the sacred items or logo as a way for God to personally abolish the tribal ancestral worship and whoever the God answers his prayers in the sight of Nigeria people shall automatically become the National Prophet of Nigeria chosen by God Almighty to lead Nigeria and to write and sign into religious law for the government and the people of Nigeria to conform to the tenets therein.
He said, failure for the religious leader to take part in this is considered as a criminal offence and such is subjected to fine and pardoned but to be prosecuted in Federal Criminal Court of Justice in according to the section 6 of this Act.
