The Chairman, Committee for the Defense of Human Rights (CDHR) Delta State branch, Comrade Jonathan Giama said, the organization has not held any election which resulted in crisis in the state.
Comrade Giama stated this on Thursday in a chat with Bailout Magazine in the organization’s office, 20 Deco Road, Warri, Delta State.
According to Comrade Giama, he has to clear the air due to some publications in both electronics (radio and television), prints (newspapers and magazines) and social media platforms being circulated by some faceless people who belong to a fashioned CDHR group somewhere in the state.
The Delta State CDHR boss said, he is the authentic Chairman of CDHR in the state just as he said the organization has not at any time conducted an election which is characterized by crisis as they run a peaceful organization and therefore disassociates the organization from such purported elections.
His words:” l am the authentic Chairman of CDHR in the state. We have been conducting election over time, we have never had fracas in our elections. Our election has been peaceful and encouraging. We follow the constitution of organization to the later, we are not trouble makers…”
According to him, those who call themselves fashion, have been trouble makers from the onset- from 20021 till date. He said, for the avoidance of doubt, the authentic CDHR office is situated at 2 storey- building at 20, Deco Road (upstairs), Warri, and Delta State.
The authentic Delta State CDHR boss therefore called on the members of the organization both in Delta State and beyond and the generality of the public to disregard such publication (information) as it was a calculated attempt, not only to drag the image of the organization to the mud but to mislead the public over its activities.
His words:” I call on other members of the organization in Delta State and anywhere in the country as well as the general public to disregard such information. The public would be duly informed when the organization is set to conduct its election it the state”
