Acceptable Christian Church,15, Skinn Road, Warri, in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State has rounded off its eight days of the Annual Christian Feast of Tabernacles with a call on Christians all over the world to beware of false prophets just as it urged those who are yet to know God to do so to enable them have eternal salvation.
Speaking on the topic titled:”Beware Of False Prophets“, the Pastor of the Church, Pastor David O. Amanoristewo charged Christians to beware of false prophets so to avoid being misled as many of them claim to hear from God whereas they are agents of Satan, the Devil.
According to him, there are many preachers of the gospel who claim to hear from God, but what they preach is false-hold as their message is not from God Almighty. He said unless such false prophets repent, they would be doomed at the end of the day.
He said, one can know the false prophets by the message(s) they preach as the Bible says, “by their fruits we shall know them“. He said such false prophets hate truth and involve in all forms of atrocities and therefore charged Christians to beware of them. He said:”There are many prophets who claim God sent them, performing fake miracles and see fake visions, whereas, they are actually the agents of Satan, the Devil”.
The Cleric who backed his message with the Holy Scriptures: Matthew 7:15-20, John 8:44, Jeremiah 28:1-3, 15-17, Act of Apostles, 13:6-12, Rev. 20:9&10, among others, therefore charged Christians to follow the path of truth and righteousness to have eternal salvation.
The Cleric warned Christians who move from one church to another to meet the so- called prophets to seek solutions to their challenges saying, they should anchor on God Almighty to get solutions to their challenges.
Other sermons titles preached earlier in the week include, “Obey God, Follow Jesus’ Example, Celebrate The Feast Of Tabernacles, For God’s Protection And Other Blessings ( Lev.23:33-43, Deut.16:13-17, Neh.8:13-18, John 13:15 etc.); The Lord God Is One God-Not A Three ln One God( Gen.1:1, Mark 12:29, John 3:16,17, 2Peter 1:20-21,etc); Harvest In The Christian Age ls The Gathering Of God’s Children Into The Kingdom Of God Through The Gospel In This End Of The World- Not The Bringing Of Farm Produce Or Money etc As Harvest Thanksgiving etc.( Exo.23:14-19,Rev.14:14-20,Luke 10:1-2, Matt.9:35-38 etc.); Fixing Dates For The End Of The World Is Presumptuousness As Only God Knows The Day ( Eccl.1:4; Psa.93:1, Gen.6:5-22; 7:1-23 etc.) among others.
