The Member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Thomas Ereyitomi, has strongly reacted to the circulation of an alleged forged National Democratic Congress (NDC) membership document being linked to his name, describing the development as a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and destabilize his political standing.
Ereyitomi, who dismissed the document as fake and malicious, declared that he remains a committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), insisting that the purported affiliation with the NDC is entirely false, politically motivated, and the handiwork of what he called “enemies of progress.”
According to the lawmaker, the circulation of such a document is not only mischievous but also a calculated act of political blackmail aimed at distracting him from his legislative duties and his ongoing development-focused representation of the people of Warri Federal Constituency.
He urged his supporters and constituents to disregard the fabricated material, noting that his political journey and affiliations have always been transparent and consistent. He further emphasized that he has never been a member of the NDC or any political platform outside his known party structure.
Ereyitomi warned those behind the alleged forgery to desist from what he described as “dirty politics,” adding that security and legal measures would be considered to trace the source of the misinformation and ensure those responsible are held accountable.
Reaffirming his commitment to his constituency, the lawmaker maintained that no amount of propaganda or misinformation would derail his focus on delivering dividends of democracy, strengthening unity, and advancing the development interests of his people.
He concluded by calling on the public to remain vigilant against fake news and politically motivated fabrications, stressing that leadership must be anchored on truth, service, and responsibility, not deception and character assassination.
