The second day of the 2nd edition of the Inter-Club Competition (5-A-Side) organised by Determined Sports House lived up to expectations yesterday, as teams delivered competitive performances at the Campus 3 Field, Abraka. The opening match of the day between Dvedent FC and New Era FC ended in a goalless draw (0–0), with both sides locked in a tightly contested encounter marked by solid defending and tactical discipline.
In the second fixture, Team DELSU recorded a narrow but important 1–0 victory over EA Sports, emerging as the only winning side of the day. The hard-fought win earned Team DELSU maximum points and boosted their chances as the tournament progresses. Speaking on the objectives of the competition, the host and organiser, Mr. Isaac Adjuya of Determined Sports House, said the tournament was aimed at using football as a tool for positive youth engagement.
“Through this competition, we are creating a platform that promotes unity, discipline and teamwork among young people, while also encouraging peaceful interaction within the community,” he stated. The competition, which continues in the coming days,is sponsored by Rukky Outfits, Valerie Tech LTD, and supported by Jaysim Laundry. With teams intensifying their campaigns for qualification and honours, football enthusiasts in Abraka are expected to witness more thrilling encounters as the Inter-Club Competition unfolds
