According to him, the kind of love being emphasized here is that of sincerity and practical one devoid of hypocrisy and theory. He said, love is that sincere, warm and affectionate feelings which a person has for his fellow human being which prevents that person from thinking of evil against one’s fellow human being and from harming one. According to him, true love doesn’t know jealousy, envy and nor rejoice in iniquity but endures all things. His words:” Love suffers long (Patient) and is kind; love doesn’t envy, love doesn’t parade itself, is not puffed up; doesn’t behave rudely doesn’t not seek its own (not selfish); is not provoked, thinks no evil, doesn’t rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth…”
Pastor Amanoritsewo said God’s love is universal and His exercising the love, He gives man all thighs to enjoy adding that, since Love is the Lord’s greatest commandment of all the commandments, it is good for humans to love one another as this is one of the ways to show one knows God. While acknowledging the fact that already some Christian groups and even individual Christians show brotherly love to one another and even to those who are not Christians, he charged them to continue saying, they would be blessed by God Almighty for doing so.
