Ahead of 2027 general elections, Labour Party stalwarts in Delta Central met on 26th August, 2025 to strategize way forward. The meeting which was attended by the eight local government Chairmen of the Delta Central Senatorial District was held at Delta Central Chairman, Comrade Okorodudu’s house, Warri.
.Addressing members of the party, the Delta Central Chairman, Comrade Okorodudu charged the various Chairmen to go back home and put their various local government areas order in readiness for the 2027 general elections. Comrade Okorodudu who was flanked by his executive officers in the meeting said, he could foresee the intrigues in the 2027 election and therefore charged party members to get ready for it as victory is for the party(Labour) at all levels especially in Delta Central Senatorial District.
In their separate responses, some of the aspirant present in the meeting, assured the Chairman and the entire party members, that they are ready for election and sued for support of party members for them to clinch the various positions they are vying for. Among the aspirants who said he is ever ready to contest and win the Delta Central Senatorial District election is Evang Dr Austin Ofomana. Evang Dr Ofomana who was actively represented by his Executive Assistant, Pastor Praise Omoemu,said, he is much aware of the challenges in such election, but he is optimistic that by the mercy and power of God Almighty, he would come out victorious in that election.
His words:” I know it is the turn of Ethiope East especially to occupy Delta Central Senatorial District seat as a senator in 2027, and by the grace of God Almighty, l am the one”.Other aspirants in the race include Hon. Akpobome for the Ughelli North , South, and Udu Federal Constituency among others. They all promised to work together just as they sued for the support of members to make their dreams come to reality.
In order to solicit for more support from members, the following day, the incoming Senator, Evang Dr Austin Ofomana and his consultation team visited ,Mr Obina Felix, the Vice Chairman of Okpe Community who doubles as Chairman of Market in Okpe Community. Also Present to receive the incoming Senator was Hon Ejiro, the Labour Party Chairman Okpe Ward one in Okpe Local Government Area. They all had a brief discussion on the way forward and prayed for the success of Evang Dr Ofomana come 2027 Delta Central Senatorial District election.
