It was the gathering of Who and Who in the society at Christ The Living Church, 10, Ogbe Street Off Deco Road, Warri over the weekend as Miss Amarachi Desire Nwachukwuma got married to Mr. Bagiwa Esigbone in holy matrimony. In his brief sermon while joining the couple together, the General Overseer of Christ The Living Church and officiating Minister for the marriage, Rev. Osaro Osagie admonished the husband, Mr. Bagiwa Esigbone to love his wife wholeheartedly just as he admonished the wife, Mrs Desire Esigbone to be submissive to the husband as this is one of the ways to sustain and have fruitful marriage life.
According to Rev. Osagie, marriage is an integral part of man’s life saying that, just as it is blissful, it is characterized by challenges adding that, but with pervert prayers and keying into God in all they do, they would be able to enjoy their marriage. Rev. Osagie who quoted many verses from the Holy Bible including Ephesians 5: 21-25, said it is when the couple respect and love each other, it is then, and marriage can be enjoyable.
His words:” When the Bible says, wives are to be submissive to their husbands, it also says, husbands should also love their wives. It is when both love each other and work in this direction that the marriage is said to be successful and blissful.” The man of God therefore urged the couple to live in harmony and love each other to have blissful marriage life. The highlight of the programme was the hitting of the floor with different styles of dance, by the couple, their parents and well-wishers to the glory of God.
