FUPRE PGSA Executive Members

Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE) Post Graduate Students Executive has been inaugurated. The programme which took place Wednesday 29th January 2025 at Dean of Post Graduate School Conference Room of the University in Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area Delta State was unique in its respect.

In his speech, the President of the Association, Comrade Henry Akpovona Onoseraye expressed joy for the privilege given to him and his executive members to serve the institution in this capacity. According to him, the executive is determined to work round the clock to ensure the institution is moved to the next level. He said, the executive would look at the possibility of attracting personality from the oil industry to develop the school.

The erudite President said for the avoidance of doubt, at present, the construction of hostel accommodation in the school is on going just as he said before the expiration of their tenure, many other hostels would be constructed for the good of the students. According to him, besides these, the executive wants to see the possibility of building laboratory for students to carry out experiments in the school.

His words:” We are looking at the possibility, before our tenure will elapse, where other hostels will come up. We also looking at possibility where we have laboratory where we can do our pre -data experiment for those in sciences”
Comrade Akpovona reminded the post Graduate Students to know that they are in the school to study and so, everybody should take his studies seriously since the undergraduates look up to them in one hand and come out excellently in their results on the other. His words:” We are here to study, we should show ourselves more relevant.We are not undergraduates but post graduates. We should be able to dominate in our academic activities and other spheres of life”.

He said, the institution is first in Africa and 6th in World adding that, Collaborator is needed from all, Private, State Government and Federal for massive development. While thanking other executive members for the successful inauguration, he promised to carry everybody along in the course of his administration just as he sought their cooperation for them to succeed in their assignments.
While expressing gratitude to God Almighty for successful ceremony, he gives special thanks to the Vice Chancellor of the School, Prof. (Engr)Akpofure Rim -Rukeh and Prof. Mrs.Juliet Emudianughe Dean School of Postgraduate for the support they gave to them which saw the success of the programme.
