Against the background of the Year Award with which the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori was honored by Thursday/Arise TV, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Media, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu, said, the honour is a well- deserved one .
Comrade Ikeogwu made this known in a a congratulatory message shared with newsmen in the state. According to Comrade Ikeogwu,the Award highlights the significant strides made by Governor Oborevwori, whose administration continues to set new benchmarks for governance and development in Delta State.
Ikeogwu said the award is a recognition of the Governor’s relentless efforts to transform Delta State saying, the honour is a testament to the monumental progress under his (Governor’s) leadership. While expressing gratitude to God for making this recognition possible,
Ikeogwu, a respected media professional and two-time Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Delta State Council, highlighted the Governor’s ability to silence critics with impactful policies, developmental programmes and life-changing projects in the state.

Comrade Ikeogwu further highlighted the Governor’s achievements saying that, in just twenty months, his extensive developmental projects are visible and have impacted positively on the lives of Deltans.
His words:”Your Excellency, your leadership has left no one in doubt about your dedication to fulfilling your campaign promises. The projects you’ve initiated are reshaping the landscape of Delta, and Deltans are witnessing these transformative efforts firsthand,”
