Delta State Police Command has decorated a newly promoted Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Ado Ibrahim who was AC CID, State Criminal investigation Department, ACP Sadiq M.Mana who was the DPO ‘A’ Division, Ughelli and ACP Maiyaki Joyce Matthew who was, until her recent promotion, the DPO, Kwale Division.
In a press statement by Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Edafe Bright, other officers decorated include: the Admin. Officer Department of Operations, CSP Obekpa Michael, the Commander Rapid Response Squad CSP Omo-Uwuigbe Nosakhare, and the Commander, Crack Squad CSP, Mohammed Balarabe Ibrahim. Other promoted officers decorated were the one promoted to Superintendent of Police, and Deputy Superintendent of Police.
The decoration which was done on Thursday, at Police officers’ mess, state Headquarters, Asabà by the Commissioner of Police Delta State, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda who was assisted by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration DCP, Charles Dike and other members of the Command’s management team was on behalf of the Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
In his short remarks, the Commissioner of Police Delta State, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda admonished the officers decorated to remember that the reward for hard work is more work and therefore charged them to put more efforts while discharging their duties just as he tasked them to ensure that they don’t disappoint the Inspector General of Police, and the public in the course of their duties.
