
The Founder of the Clevermind Foundation,Mr. Zion Oshobugie addressing the children during the programme

A Non- governmental organization under the auspices of Clevermind Educational Foundation has put smiles on children’s faces by organizing an end of year programme known as Give Back Party where they were given gift items. The programme which was organized for 100O children that took place at Lakeland School Warri in Warri South Local Government Area showcased different kinds of competitions such as dance, balloon game, cup pyramid among others.
In an interview, the founder of the foundation Mr. Zion Oshobugie said the programme is an annual event organized to put smiles on the faces of children drawn from orphanage homes, underprivileged children, and children from rural communities- children without parents. According to Mr. Oshobugie, many children do not even know and have who to celebrate with, saying that, the idea of the exercise is to make the children feel at home in this Christ’s birth season.

He said: “Many of these children do not have parents and friends especially those from orphanage homes. We have to organize this programme to enable them have an interface with other children of their age and be happy, show them love even if it is one day, it has a lot to do in their life. At the end of the dance, games and all that, we give them small gifts home.”
Mr. Oshobugie said the programme is also to help children to know Jesus Christ, Lord and savour who came and died to save man from sin. According to him, it is a period of celebration of the Christ, the saviour of mankind.
He said, although this year marked the fifth year the programme has been held, it has impacted positively on the lives of many children over the years and in the next five years, it would be held not only in Delta but many parts of the country such as in Lagos and Abuja where many who have not been privileged to be involved would enjoy the programme.
He said, the programme is being sustained over the years financially through many donors and sponsors who have volunteered to support the programme among who are the Olu of Warri, His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse lll and Her Royal Majesty Olori Atuwatse just he used the medium to thank them for their assistance over the years and prayed God to bless them.

On the management of the crowd, he said, many volunteers are in different canopies to help manage the crowd to ensure the children have fun and get their gifts items accordingly as there were enough gifts items to go round. The highlight of the programme was the distribution of the items amid cheers.
