The Leadership of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Delta State on Monday, visited the ailing Comrade Frank Kokori on sick bed in the hospital in Warri. The APC leadership that was led by Chief Tuesday Onoge saw Comrade Frank Kokori in good condition. Speaking on behalf of the group, Chief Onoge said they were mandated by former Deputy Senate President and APC Governorship candidate, Senate Ovie Omo-Age who said he could not make it due to his busy schedule.
According to him, DSP Senator Agege apologized for delay in the visit saying, it was occasioned by lack of information on the sick Kokori on time.
He said: “The leadership of APc and DSP, Senator Agege said he is very sorry to have come late to see you, it was not intentional but the information of your sickness did not get to us on time”.
Chief Onoge said going by the roles Comrade Frank Kokori has played in Nigeria’s growth and development and his personality, it is not out of place for him to be moved abroad for better medical attention. He however expressed happiness that he is recovering very fast. The team therefore prayed for speedy recovery of the Elder State man.
In his response, the recovering Comrade Frank Kokori thanked the group for the visit saying, if he has wished he be moved abroad for medical attention, good spirited Nigerians have volunteered before now do so but he chose to remain in the present hospital to enable him have stable condition. He therefore prayed for the APC leadership and DSP Senator Agege and the entire team for the visit.
In a brief interview, Chief Onoge expressed joy for recovery of the Elder State man saying, from the way Comrade Frank Kokori responded showed that he is in a stable condition.
On the idea of moving him to another hospital, Chief Onoge said, since Comrade Frank Kokori is satisfied with his taking treatment in that hospital, his wish should be done for him.
On his part, Archbishop Philip Orovwuje, said Senator Agege has high regards for Comrade Frank Kokori hence this high powered delegation. He expressed happiness that Comrade Frank Kokori is recovering very fast and wished him more speedy recovery.
Chief Tuesday Onoge was accompanied in the visit by Professor Samuel W. E Iboje, Prince Frank Ugen,Theo Bosah, Lizdon Djebah Unurhoro,Barr.Beauty Ubogun Nze, Mrs. Ese Gloria Edijala among others.
