Delta State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Isaiah Bozimo has described the existing synergy between the Executive and Judiciary as essential for the overall benefits of the justice system in the state.
Mr. Bozimo stated this in Asaba while declaring open a -two day capacity building programme on the administration of criminal justice law and civil Justice law 2022 for the Lordship of the State High Court and Customary Court of Appeal.
The Commissioner said that, the day one of the training focused on administration of civil Justice, adding that, it was intended to foster a deeper understanding of the provisions of the law and how to implement them in practical situations.
He explained that, after the day’s session, participants would be better equipped with the objectives of the law. Mr. Bozimo said that the state government had continued to enhance the welfare of the judiciary, emphasing that, the enactment of the judicial autonomy in the state has provided the framework for the Implementation of the law .
The Attorney-General said , Governor Okowa’s administration has built the new High Court in Asaba to ensure that, the Judges enjoy a befitting edifice through which they could deliver Justice to the citizens and residents of the state.
Mr. Bozimo noted that, the collaborative engagements with the Judges were important and thanked them for their cooperation. Stakeholders who attended the interactive session included State Chief Judge, Justice Theresa Dai, the President of Delta State Customary Court and other Judges while the resource persons were Funke Adekoya, SAN, Tunde Fagbogunlu, SAN , Dr. Tunde Ajibade ,SAN and Mr. Fernandez Marcus-Obiene
