The Delta State Police Command have arrested three suspects who specialize in kidnapping, raping and facebook scams in Delta Community. They are Nelson Aghogho(a.k.a Little), Cornelius Emene “m” age 32 years, and Ufuoma Tunde “f”.
According to press statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe said on the 2nd January,2023, at about 1700hours, the Divisional Police Officer, Ofuoma, received a complaint from a lady (name withheld) that she saw one of the hoodlums that kidnapped her on 11th December,2022 and held her hostage in a hotel in Iwherekpokpor Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area, took her nude pictures and recorded her on video while inserting a candle in her private part. The statement added that the suspect used it to blackmail the victim and her parents to pay huge ransom.
The statement added that when the DPO received this complaint, he immediately detailed a combined team of Police detectives in addition to Ekiugbo Community Vigilante saying, in the process, arrested one Cornelius Emene “m”age 32 years. The statement added that in the process of investigation, the suspect made useful statement which led to the arrest of two other suspects namely, Nelson Aghogho(aka Little) and Ufuoma Tunde,”f”. The statement said, they gave account of how they kidnapped another student of the School of Health and Technology, Ofuoma, Ughelli North LGA.

Part of the statement reads:”On 02/01/2023 at about 1700hrs, the DPO Ofuoma Division received a complaint from a lady (name withheld) that she saw one of the hoodlums that kidnapped…held her Hostage at a hotel in Iwherekpokpor Community, Ughelli North LGA, took her nude pictures and recorded her on video while inserting a candle on her private part, and used same to blackmail the victim and her parents to pay huge ransom… the DPO immediately detailed a combined team of Police detectives and Ekiugbo community vigilante, arrested one Cornelius Emene ‘m’ aged age 32 years… suspects made useful statement that led to the arrest of two other suspects Nelson Aghogho (aka Little), Ufuoma Tunde ‘f’, and also gave account of how they kidnapped another student of school of health and Technology Ofuoma, Ughelli north LGA.
The statement added that the way of operation of the syndicate is to lure unsuspecting young girls on face book, get them to a hotel, drug them, gang rape them, before holding them hostage and demand ransom from their parents to secure their release. It added that it was found out that suspects’ phones contained numerous sex video recording of their previous victims, which was also used to blackmail them and their parents. The statement said the three suspects are currently in custody while investigation is going on.
