It was fun – fair at Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area as Class ‘87 of Unity School, Agbarho (USA) held her first reunion party after 35 years.
Speaking at the event, the present Principal of the school, Mr. Emore who was the Special Guest, appreciated the old students for their continued support for the school, saying, it is good to give back to the school because it is the school that made them what they are today.
In his goodwill speech, the Chairman of Class of ’87, Unity School, Agbarho, Hon. John Edogbere said, their coming together was God’s intervention, adding, Unity School is their foundation that made them what they are today. He therefore admonished his fellow old students to always give assistance to one another and be good ambassadors of the school. Also in a good will message to the event via online abroad are Dr. Ikenna Okeke and Mr. Albert Ikolo .
Earlier in his address, the Chairman, Planning Committee, Mr. Akata Edirin urged the association to put the interest of members at heart just as he admonished them to think of a long term medical plan and support for members of the group that may need medical assistance.
Speaking further, he said members should think of Corporate Insurance Policy that they can leave behind for their children just as he said members should think about registering a co-operative society where members can contribute and access money as loans to meet their pressing needs especially for those who are facing serious financial crisis.
The highpoint of the event was the old students’ identifying some of the needs of the school, cutting of reunion cake, raffles draws and the presentation of a token to the Chairman of Unity School, Agbarho Class ’87, Hon. John Edogbere amidst cheers.
