Former Secretary to Delta State Government, Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie Samuel Macaulay, the Okiroro of Isoko Nation, has admonished party leaders to shun the politics of backbiting and pull him down syndrome in order to pave way for the growth of the party in one hand and Isoko Nation on the other just as he charged elected office holders to work hard for their re-election especially as 2027 general elections draw near.

Chief Macaulay gave the charge while addressing party faithful over the weekend at his country home, while welcoming PDP decampees led by Sir Dr. Patrick Akporuno into APC alongside Owhelogbo Ward 5 Ward Chairman, Mr Vincent Ubogu, and other Leaders Elder Jonathan Ugu and Deacon Osiobe. His words:”We should stop backbiting and work on how we can win future elections and develop Isoko Nation. We, as Leaders, should not encourage backbiting, because that does not help us in any way”

On 2027 general elections campaign, Chief Macaulay said, they should not hide under the President of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, to campaign for their re-election come 2027 general elections, adding that, the party as of today, no one is contesting against the President and the Governor and urged elected politicians to allow their work pave way for their re-election come 2027.
While suing for the unity among Leaders of the party in Isoko Nation, he said, he never had any brawl with Sir Dr Patrick Akporuno on personal ground but faceless persons that want to strain their relationship. He however expressed joy that at as today, they are a united family.

According to him, he left the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) because of what played out then but expressed happiness that, today, the Delta State Governor and his people are now in APC. Comrade Macaulay urged the people to shun rumours to avoid tarnishing the image of leaders before the Governor but seek clarification if they are in doubt on any matter.
Earlier on in his address, the Leader of the decampees, Sir Dr Patrick Akporuno, commended the Leadership prowess of Comrade Macaulay, adding that, they have all since defected to the APC alongside His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and other stakeholders across the state adding that, they are only completing the processes that qualified them to be full members of the new party-APC.

In their separate remarks, Elder Jonathan Ugu and the Ward Chairman, Mr Vincent Ubogu, said, APC remains the only party worthy to join that does the right thing by delivering the true dividends of democracy to citizens. According to him, the people they are receiving from the PDP, are dedicated leaders and members as their defection would make APC a formidable party as it used to be in previous elections.
