Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State is the choice of the people come 2027 as his achievements in physical infrastructures and human development speak volumes. This was disclosed by Archbishop Philip Orovwuje, All Progressive Congress (APC) stalwart in Delta State and Founder, Garden of Life Assembly, Effurun Delta State in an interaction with journalists in Effurun, he said that there is no vacancy in Government House, Asaba come 2027.
Archbishop Orovwuje said that Governor Oborevwori scores excellently in infrastructural development across the three Senatorial Districts in the State adding, this, no doubt earns him another term on the saddle as Governor of the state come 2027. According to the APC stalwart in Delta State, “if any aspirant joins another party with intention to contest against Governor Oborevwori, such an aspirant no doubt is making a big mistake of his/her life and is sure to fail.”
Archbishop Orovwuje said that, one does not need to enumerate the infrastructural developments in the state as they are visible even to the blind man. According to him, the five flyovers across the state including that of Warri, Effurun, Agbor, and Ughelli, the extension of Southern Delta University in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area to Orerokpe, in Okpe Local government Area, among many others, are testament to the fact that, the Governor meant well for the people.
Archbishop Orovwuje said, that Governor Oborevwori did not only execute projects for the benefit of the people but created rooms for peace and security in the state, adding, “the State civil servants have no cause to worry as they are always paid as at when due.In all these, the Delta State Government under Rt. Hon Oborevwori has never borrowed a dime to execute these projects. Since he came on board as Governor, we have not heard of the state borrowing money, this due largely to improved allocation and financial prudence. There is an ongoing Specialist Hospital in Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area.
“Since 1999, no Governor in Delta State has done what Rt. Hon. Oborevwori has done, he has surpassed them all in terms of infrastructures, therefore, let us encourage him to do more for the people”. He said that, when Governor Oborevwori was contesting for the position in 2023, he was underrated but today, he has proved everybody wrong by his giant developmental strides.
Archbishop Orovwuje however said although, the various flyovers and University have provided jobs for lots of people as those who work in the construction site and staff of the University are paid, private sector can also come in by establishment of industry for the teeming youths in the state. He said, for instance, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, a private firm has helped a lot in empowerment of individuals, communities and schools within and outside the state. Archbishop Orovwuje used the medium to charged Delta youths to learn skills as it would not be possible for all persons to have white collar jobs.
While calling on Deltans to support the administration of Governor Oborevwori, he called on all members of the ruling APC and others to go out for the E-registration to formalise their membership of the party as old cards are no longer in vougue. His words:” if you are a member of APC or an intending one, please, go for the E-registration, your voter’s card is your power.”
