Ahead of 2027 Delta Central Senatorial District general elections, Evang (Dr) Austin Ofuomana ,Delta Central Senatorial Aspirant come 2027 has promised to better the lives of the people if elected into office .
Evang(Dr) Ofuomana stated this when he paid an unscheduled visit to the leprosorium ,Abudu Camp Ethiope in East Local Government Area , Delta State recently.
According to him, his visit is in line with the Chairman of the less- privileged in Sapele during his Governorship political romance with the Governorship aspirant who assured him of his enormous task carrying every one along even the lepers in the leprosorium.
He said the needs of local government areas that make up the Delta Central Senatorial District would be once and for all identified and attended to come 2027 if he is elected.
According to him, the dividends of democracy would get to the people of Delta Central Senatorial District from the day the oath of office is administered on him by the grace of God.
He said:”A Committee will be set up for the proper distribution and sharing formula of the constituency allowances which would be closely monitored by l myself”
He said, Delta Central Senatorial District is mainly Urhobos and the Senatorial Office would be named after it( Urhobo).According to him, his tenure as a Senator would introduce Urhobo language in all schools through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Delta State, adding that, Urhobo teachers would be paid extra allowances(money) to encourage them in the teaching of the language in the schools just as he said Urhobo language would be predominantly used in the constituency.
Speaking further, he said, if he is elected, he would encourage the reintroduction of arts and crafts and other Urhobo extra-curricula activities such as games and others in the school system especially at the Basic school level.
His words: “l would empower our people especially indigents children with scholarships to boost the constituency’s academic excellence“
During the visit, Chief Lucky Edewor Odiyoma , the Chairman of the Campaign Organization also briefly talked about the good God- fearing nature of the would- be Senator, Delta Central Senatorial District come 2027 by the grace God.
